3 Things I’m Loving Right Now {4} (and a last call on a great opportunity)
I don’t even know why I continue calling this “3 Things I’m Loving Right Now.” Has it ever been 3? Also, this post is part “3 Things” and part “Weekend Links” because I link to everything I love so you can try it, too. It’s basically whatever kind of post you need it to be.
1. Chocolate-Flavored Nut Butters. Yes, like Nutella. But these are the “all-natural” versions. My husband bought the Justin’s Hazelnut spread and I decided I’d just “try” it. Yeah. OK. The day I launched Finding Your Balance, I had this outrageous surge of emotion where I spent half the day crying and the other half in the pantry eating this with a spoon. If you are feeling particularly emotional, you can just order it on Amazon Prime and have it delivered to your front door. You’re welcome.
Justin’s Hazelnut Spread
Then, after I finished that jar, I went to the store and found this: Maranatha Chocolate Almond Spread. I am not advocating this sort of indulgence. All I’m saying is it’s really good. In completely unrelated news: I can’t figure out why my jeans have become so tight.
2. These new shoes.
It’s officially Fall. But here in Kentucky this week, the temperatures are hovering in the high 80s and low 90s with approximately 1000% humidity. Last weekend, I hosted a retreat for the women of my church and only packed boots to wear because, as I stated, it’s Fall. After the first night of melting in my too-tight jeans, I went to DSW to buy some alternative footwear for the remainder of the retreat and found these. I love these shoes so much. They are so comfortable and absolutely perfect for these hot Fall days where I don’t want to reveal that I badly need a pedicure, but cannot melt my feet in a pair of boots.
You can buy these in brown or black at DSW for $49.98 with a $10 off coupon (good only until 9/24) and free shipping!
3. This new top.
Also perfect for Fall, this shirt is so soft and light and has this sort of wrap-around thing happening, which means it hangs absolutely perfectly.
This is not a picture of me, by the way. I know it’s confusing, since I’m often mistaken for a 22-year-old fashion model.
It’s available at American Eagle.
(the shirt, not the model)
4. Jen Hatmaker’s book, Of Mess and Moxie: Wrangling Delight Out of This Wild and Glorious Life and Gretchen Rubin’s book, The Four Tendencies: The Indispensable Personality Profiles That Reveal How to Make Your Life Better (and Other People’s Lives Better, Too)
I read Of Mess and Moxie in about three days. If you like Jen Hatmaker, you’ll love this book. I’m halfway through The Four Tendencies. I love personality-type books and have been listening to Gretchen Rubin talk about this for months on her podcast. The descriptions of “The Upholder” are so me, it’s eerie! I love when authors get inside my head. I’m curious what you are. Check out her quiz and let me know what you are in the comments.
5. Speaking of podcasts, I love Gretchen Rubin’s podcast, Happier.
I think I mentioned this here before, but it is consistently one of the most practical, positive, well-written, interesting, and fun podcasts I listen to.
Also, Jen Hatmaker has a new podcast! Hers is pretty good…it’s new, so it’s a little clunky. You can tell she’s working out the bugs. And I don’t always love her choice of guests, but her interview with Glennon Doyle Melton last week was AWESOME.

Obliger!!! Yep, that about sums it up!! 🙂
According to the book, Obliger is the biggest group…also, the nicest. 🙂
Made it just under the mark for the book/study – wouldn’t miss it! The fact that I’m trying to do about 6 things right now (at the same time) speaks to the urgency of the situation 😉 Love you, friend!
Yay!!!!!!! I’m so excited you’ll be there!
Obliger! 🙂
