  1. Wow – that quote stuck deep to my heart as well. I think of the song:

"Give me one pure and holy passion. Give me one magnificient obsession. Give me one glorious ambition for my Lord. To know and follow hard after You."

I love how simply achievable Billy (love how we're on first name basis?! : )) reminds us that our Father has made it.

  2. beautiful! wow.

i read that Billy Graham's daughter did this too…left Bibles laying open all over her house to pick up and read whenever she sat down. when my children were little and i would sit and watch them play i did this. now i leave my Bible open on the kitchen counter. that's where i always am. such inspiration here!

i am so very familiar with that deeply burning passion.

  3. Thank you Sandy for another great post! You are giving us lots of things to ponder on this subject of balance. Having a solid foundation of prayer and feeding on God's Word is crucial! Thanks for the reminder! Looking forward to the next post in this series!

Blessings to you and your family!

  4. I just finished reading your whole series so far. Thanks for the reminder that "balance" looks different each day. My "good mom list" often takes over and leaves me feeling like a flop by the day's end if I haven't played ball with my three-year-old, read at least 4 books to my one-year-old, colored a picture with my kindergartener, rehearsed spelling words with my third-grader and played a round of driveway basketball with my sports-obsessed eleven-year-old. And that's just the fun stuff! Add laundry, home-cooked meals, time for prayer, a hurting friend and a busy husband and suddenly balancing the simple life of a mother and wife seems like a daunting task! I love your insight! You've got a like-minded friend in Iowa 🙂

By the way, thanks for stopping by my blog a few times so I can "find you"— you're words are a blessing.
