In Scripture, life is depicted as a race. We are told to throw off everything that hinders our running. But how do you know if something you are carrying is hindering or helping? After all, what hinders me may be helping you. What helped you in the past may be weighing you down now. It can be tricky to decide what to set down. Today I’m offering five questions we can ask ourselves to help us determine if something we are carrying is a weight that hinders or helps.
5 Questions as You Consider a Weight:
1. Does it keep me safe?
2. Does it fuel or replenish me?
3. Does it help me map out my course or keep me on track?
4. Does it make my race more comfortable?
5. How is it affecting my overall health and performance?
