Declutter 2014: Week 3
It feels like I haven’t made much progress this week, until I look at these pictures. Remember when my basement looked like this?
Well, currently, it looks like this.
I am at a standstill in that area until Jon goes through his stuff. And we also have a hutch from our 20 year old dining room set and several pieces of old computer and printer equipment, as well as an ancient television to contend with. I truly have no idea how to rid myself of these giant pieces of matter. I understand now why people out in the country have couches and old cars sitting in their yard. That may be me soon. Don’t judge.
And remember the toy bins looked like this?
Well, now they look like this.
And this.
And Elliana’s “house” area looks like this.
My load of donations this week is small. Just one bag. Some toys, some dress-up clothes and odds and ends.
And I’ve filled two more bags of garbage.
Full Disclosure: I am reusing old pictures of garbage here. Because, truly, when you’ve seen one bag of garbage, you’ve seen them all.
The next thing I need to tackle are the drawers. I’ve done a pretty good job of keeping up with these other areas, so there shouldn’t be much. And then, when spring hits, I will attempt to address our garage. I may just open it up and put a sign out front that says, “FREE STUFF.”
I think we have about 20 bikes, just for starters.

Grand totals so far:
3 Bags of clothes set aside for Sister
1 Bag of school uniforms set aside for upcoming used uniform sale
6 car-loads of donations
7 bags of garbage
I was a little disappointed in myself that I did not recognize those pictures as being repeats. Actually I laughed out loud at your comment. Good job on keeping at your project.
I seriously had to stop myself before I shot another picture of garbage. I just feel like my blog would have hit an all time low had I gone through with it. haha
