  1. I am sorry, because I really want to read your story. Have you ever considered blogging it in installment fashion? (Like Dickens did in the newspaper, Alexander Mcall Smith did this too, and of course, this is how The Pioneer Woman got so famous. She now gets a million hits a month on her blog. Check out how she did it.) Congratulations on the great comments from people who really know writing. Thanks for using your gifts.

I regularly read the blog Bad Language – he is from England and gives really great ideas on growing your blog, branding etc.

On a personal note, I am sorry for the disappointment. Keep on keeping on. I wonder what God is stirring up?

  2. Glenda,
Thanks for your encouraging words. Actually, the way the book idea came to be was a blog series I did last year called, God Speaks in the Storm. I got such a great response, I decided to try to expand the blog posts into chapters and try to publish it. You can read the entire series by clicking on the link in the sidebar that says, "A Series: God Speaks Through the Storm."

I'm going to check out the blog, Bad Language. I love reading stuff like that.

Thanks for your faithfulness in reading and commenting…it really means a lot to me.

    Blessings,
    Sandy

  3. Oh Sandy. Your book needs to be published. You know it. I know it.
    Sending you an email.

BTW, I just saw that commercial for the first time yesterday…pretty funny.

  4. Oh sweet girl, I am sorry the timing has not been right. But keep pressing on, the right publisher will be sent to you at the right time!

Sent you an email, my comment was getting too long!

    Love you,
    Lindsey

  5. I am sorry friend. Your story needs to be heard, I will pray that He moves in a mighty way. We know that what He has planned is bigger and better than anything we could imagine. I am looking forward to that day for you. In the mean time….thanks for sharing on your blog. I am cheerin' for ya!

  6. Aw, man, I was really looking forward to that swanky lunch in the city. But when Tyndale comes calling, we can have a swanky lunch at my house! 🙂

I really am so sorry about the Moody thing, but I really appreciate your attitude about it. Keep writing. Keep building that platform (you can do it!). And keep trusting the One who has put you in this place for a reason.

    Love you, friend!

  7. Right there with you, girlfriend. Keep taking the next step that God calls you to, and I know that He will have your book published at just the right time.

    And that commercial – HILARIOUS!!!

  8. Sandy,

Sorry about Moody Publishers for now, but thankful that a door is still open with them. Thank you for sharing this with us and for your great attitude about it all. What an example for all of us. When we face bad stuff, we can choose to have a great attitude. You will continue to have our support and prayers.

Blessings to you and your family!

  9. I think that is good news! You're getting really close! let us know if there is any way we can help you "grow your platform"…what criteria are they using anyway…do they look at blog numbers? Could you start doing seminars? what are they looking for?

all in all…I know it's not a total yes, but it's not a total no either! And you are so right, God's timing is perfect.

    I'm excited for you!

  10. Sandy,

10,000 is nothing! Our God is so big and I'm convinced that He is not only going to provide you a huge platform, but He is going to blow the publishers away and you will have 20,000 subscribers! (I'm sending the first 10,000 🙂

You are an awesome writer and I would buy any book you write!God has BIG plans for your writing. Just wait…

    Love ya,
    Angie

  11. I can only imagine how the rejection much feel but hang in there. You are an incredible writer!
