Ep 173: 3 Things to Do When You’ve Lost Your Balance
Show Notes
Here’s my balance issue in a nutshell: I have taken on a lot of extra work and have not laid anything down in exchange. (If you haven’t listened to EP172, I suggest you pause this and go listen to me really quickly at 2x speed so I sound all stressed out–which is an accurate portrayal of my insides and then come back and listen to this episode.)
Hi, welcome back. 🙂
So, if you feel like you’ve lost your balance, first answer these 3 questions from EP172:
What feels off-balance or what is wrong?
Why is this happening? What has shifted to cause this loss of balance?
What do I expect right now?
After you’ve done that, then do these 3 things:
- Pray (See Philippians 4:6-10 about anxiety and prayer + Matthew 6 on worry and prayer)
- Do a time audit (Gross! Yes, it’s such a pain and so, so necessary and revealing)
- Ask people who love you to speak into/give insight on your out-of-balance situation. They may not have the solution, but they may get you thinking about outside-of-the-box options.
- Bonus Thing: Read John 15 and be prepared for the Father to prune something fruitful from your life. (Ouch.)
