Ep 174: Why You’re Always Tired

Show notes:

I’ve been doing a little mini-series on what to do when you’ve lost your balance. In EP172, I gave you three questions to ask yourself. In EP173, I offered three things to do next. Today, I’m specifically addressing your energy levels and offering three hidden reasons you’re always tired and what to do about it.

First, before we look for hidden reasons you may be tired, you need to look at the obvious ones:

  1. Sleep deprivation/disruption
  2. Low-quality food consumption
  3. Alcohol

Of course, I didn’t specifically talk about this in the episode, but you may also be ill or undergoing tremendous stress or have a bout of clinical depression. There are dozens of physiological and psychological situations that affect your energy. So, f you are chronically exhausted, you need to address the obvious things first. Go to a doctor for a physical exam if you need to.

After you’ve done that, then I want you to consider the following hidden sources of your fatigue:

1. You’re spending most of your time doing (good, enjoyable) things that require a significant amount of energy from you.

2. You’re under a spiritual attack.

3. Life is just…hard.

Scriptures we address in this episode:

Ephesians 6:10-18

I Peter 5: 6-11

Psalm 90
