  1. This is such a great post Sandy!

As for your Q4U, yes. Totally committed for the past few years and have never been happier or felt better.

Love the added balancing of Phase 2! And I think I'm addicted to doing whatever I can on those med balls. You should have seen Chad's eyes when I told him I need 2 more 🙂

WTG with your progress! I'm glad we decided to do P90X2 "together".

    Have a great day!

  2. Just wanted to say that I love your writing…even if it is about weight loss and exercise. (Curse you, P90X)
I agree with the opinion that one must be ready and totally committed to their plan; whatever that is.
I started yesterday. Again. Glad I read your blog today. 🙂

  3. Following over from Fitness Friday bloghop! I'm so glad I found your blog! love this post! You're right on so many levels! Congrats to you on your P90X progress!!

  4. I totally agree that people have to find what works for them. It is not a one size fits all world.

The mental part is huge, and for me probably the hardest part. I can tell a difference in my attitude from just 3 years ago when I started this whole journey. Personally, for me, that part has been key, even moreso that the food.

  5. Sandy,

Congratulations on your weight loss. I know, from reading your posts, that this was so critical for you as those pounds were just dragging you "down."

Good going… keep it up (or should I say – down)!

  6. Awesome! I loved this post from beginning to end!! Thank you for sharing exerpts from that article! It is SO true that you have to psychologically be ready before you can commit to change!! Great progress w/ P90x2!

  7. Interesting stuff, Sandy 🙂

The mental aspect of fitness is HUGE. It's key, really.

As I think about what all I want to do to shed the baby weight (3 more weeks until I'm 'allowed' to workout again!!! Although I may or may not be sneaking in some low impact moves here and there :)) – this helps me.

Commitment and lasting discipline are two things my husband and I have been discussing lately. We have lacked both…and are aware that many people struggle in these two areas.

This motivates me. As all of your posts do 🙂

    Thanks, girl.

    – Kate 🙂
