I Finally Figured Out How to Use the New Camera
After being camera-less for the last, oh, um…FIVE MONTHS, we finally broke down and bought a new camera to replace the one that was dropped into Lake Michigan. And after owning said camera for exactly ONE MONTH, I finally learned how to download the pictures onto the computer. So, now you get to see a belated and condensed version of our Christmas and various other interesting things of which I took photos with my cool new camera. Just in case you were wondering what I did on my blog break for an entire month.
Here are some of my favorite Christmas decorations…
Here is an adorable picture of Elliana and Jon.
Making Christmas cookies!!!
Our mixer broke while making the cookies. We mixed like we were pioneers…
with our bare hands,
I tell you!
Here is the BEFORE shot of our Christmas house, just after Santa left…
And here is the AFTER…
This is Elijah, reciting the entire second chapter of Luke in front of 40 people at our family Christmas. He kept looking at me for prompting and reassurance. Only, I don’t know the entire second chapter of Luke. So I gave him a lot of big smiles and a few “thumbs up.”
He nailed it. I think.
And here is Elijah after he opened his gift from Grandpa (my Dad)
Here is my Dad with Elliana. He loves her.
Here is a freakishly warm day we had after Christmas, when all the neighborhood kids gathered in my backyard for an impromptu game of football. Yes, my daughter is wearing shorts.
Here’s our little New Year’s Day party. We played Monopoly and ate chips.
Here is Oreo, our cat, hiding in the tree. Bad (but cute) Oreo!
One of our many snow days…
And, finally, here are G.I. Joe and Ken eating lunch in the doll house.
Thanks so much for sharing! You're children are beautiful – I think the outside snow days pics are my favorites:)
And it's fun to see festive pictures since it's just cold and gray now:(
Great pictures!!! You really have an eye! Gorgeous children, family, and home. Now you have to share with us what kind of camera you got. Those pics look so good, I want one!
Sweet, sweet family.
Fondly,
Glenda
