I have been married to Jon for almost 25 years.
We like to call it “The 23 Best Years of Our Lives” because the first 2 years were very hard. One of my dear friends used to say, “Marriage is not a union, it’s a COLLISION!” That about sums it up for our honeymoon years. But after the initial collision has taken place and you have a few difficulties under your belt, marriage becomes this rich, complicated, intimate friendship. It’s quite amazing, actually.
