“Mommy…Do you like my poem?”
I Am A Child of God,

Age 11

I am a child of God
I wonder why He made me
I hear God talk to me
I see Heaven’s Gates
I want to see my brother there
I am a child of God

I wonder why He made me
I hear God talk to me
I see Heaven’s Gates
I want to see my brother there
I am a child of God
I pretend I am with the Lord
I feel the holes in His hand
I touch His face to be sure it is He
I worry He doesn’t love me
I cry out of worry and sadness
I am a child of God
I understand now, that he loves me
I say this because it is true
I dream of meeting Him for the first time
I try to imagine my brother with Him
I hope that He will accept me into His kingdom
I am a child of God.
“Yes, oh heavens yes. I simply love your poem.”
I am taking this sweet Child of God to her first Beth Moore Live Event tonight. Just us girls.
I am absolutely certain God will be speaking to both of us in profound ways.
Can’t wait to tell you all about it.
To tell me what God has been saying to YOU,
link up or leave a comment.
But after you do that…

Fitness Friday Girl is throwing a little party over there.
She’s giving away a Target Gift Certificate, just for stopping by!
Now, let’s get jiggy with it
and cue The Jefferson’s theme song
Yeah, we’re movin’ on up
(moving on up…)
Oh my gosh, your daughter's poem is absolutely beautiful. So wonderfully stated.
One of my favorite things to do is to expose my daughters to Godly women that I love. How fun that you get to take your daughter to hear Beth Moore.
Fondly,
Glenda
I love this poem! What a sweet girl. Have a great time at Beth Moore!
This is an incredible poem that gives us all a glimpse of the sweet, tender, searching heart that your daughter has. May God bless her and protect her!!!
Um, no. Not looking for Fitness Friday which is probably part of my problem. Remind me to tell you about my tennis playing debacle the other day. I felt like a hot, sweaty dog playing catch 😉
That poem is precious~
I'm so glad we are friends!
the poem was wonderful and you have a lovely daughter.
